George W. Bush Offers Sign of Support to Cade Foster of the Alabama Crimson Tide

Cade Foster, a kicker for the University of Alabama Crimson Tide faced severe criticism and even death threats after he was blamed for his team loss to rival Auburn that would have sent Alabama to their fourth BCS National Championship in as many years.

For those of you who don't know, Foster missed two field goals and had one blocked during the game against Auburn in late November. His performance forced head coach Nick Saban to call upon a rookie to attempt a 57-yard game winning field goal with the scored tied at 28 and one second remaining on the game clock.

Bush Left- Foster Right
Unfortunately for Alabama, the kick was short... and in a storybook ending for Auburn, the kick actually fell short of the goalposts, remaining in play, which developed into a historic 100-yard touchdown return. (See video above)

To this day I'm puzzled over why Saban didn't just take the game to overtime.

- But Anyhow, this Wednesday former president George W. Bush sen't a letter to the castellated Foster, offering him encouragement, and basically being the great American Hero that GWB is.

The letter read:

"Dear Cade (#43), Life has its setbacks. I know! However you will be a stronger human with time. I wish you all the best"

Foster Posted the letter on Instagram, saying "Framing this"
