Cam Talbot on the Move?

If there's something strange, in your neighborhood, who you gonna' trade?

CAM TALBOT!

Haha, I don't know why but I found that quite amusing ^

Anyway, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this coming off-season is the most opportune time for the New York Rangers to cash in and part ways with their 26 year old backup net-minder Cam Talbot. What do you guys think?

Coming off a 5-0 shutout victory over the Edmonton Oilers last night in potentially his last start as a New York Ranger, the back up goalie added yet another solid outing to his NHL resume. With last night's victory, Talbot extended his record to 12-6 with a 1.67 Goals Against Average and a .940 save percentage in his 18 games played this season.

It's obvious that with the Rangers mid-season commitment to Henrik Lundqvist via their seven-year $59.5 million dollar contract extension agreement, the Rangers don't really have room for Talbot in their future plans anyway.

With a much higher trade value than ever expected and an attractive cap hit of just $565,000 through next season, Cam Talbot may be a pretty popular commodity this summer.

Cam Talbot left, Henrik Lundqvist right
