Coming in Hot

Bud Selig struck the hammer down heavy Monday afternoon on all players involved in Anthony Bosch's Miami Biogenesis Scandal.

Selig slammed a 50 game suspension on 12 Major League players, all of who'm accepted their 50 game suspensions.

The list of 12 players includes;
Anthony Bosch

Antonio Bastardo - Philadelphia Phillies RP
Francisco Cervelli - New York Yankees C
Jesus Montero- Seattle Mariners C
Nelson Cruz- Texas Rangers OF
Everth Cabrera- San Diego Padres SS
Jhonny Peralta- Detroit Tigers- 2B
Fautino De Los Santos- Padres Minor League SP
Sergio Escalona- Houston Astros Minor League SP
Fernando Martinez - New York Yankees Minor League OF
Cesar Puello- - New York Mets Minor League OF
Jordany Valdespin- New York Mets Minor League INF/OF
Jordan Norberto - Free Agent SP

Alex Rodriguez on the other hand was struck with a ban through the entire 2014 season, which is equivalent to 211 total games plus further suspension in all possible playoff and pre season games.

Unlike the above 12 players, Alex Rodriguez is expected to appeal his suspension and meet the MLB in court with an arbitrator. Alex Rodriguez should be allowed to play for the New York Yankees starting tonight in Chicago when he's activated from the disabled list, unless Bud Selig opts to exercise his "Best Interest Clause" and evoke further punishment on Alex Rodriguez.

Keep in my mind Ryan Braun already received a 68 game suspension earlier this month and both Melky Cabrera of the Toronto Blue Jays and Bartolo Colon of the Oakland Athletics already served their 50 games suspensions last season for violating PED's distributed by Tony Bosch.

In court, Yankees insiders predict that A Rod will be charged with recruiting players to Bosch, attempting to obstruct MLB's investigation, and not telling the truth to MLB officials in past investigations.

This is a sad, sad, day for Major League Baseball. But I must admit, having a commissioner attempting to 'clean up' the game is a positive step in the right direction.
